This is how Costco American Heritage pool tables will arrive at your home. We were impressed at the crating methods of protection for shipping.

Assembly:Average

We were very surprised being an internet shipped table. The table was pretty easy to install but we weren't impressed with the one pc. slate liner, we flet that this would cause problems with leveling. All holes and hardware were superb!

Manufacturing Quality:Average

Materials Used: Above Average

We experienced no problems with materials used, the slate was almost level after set up and all three peices of slate were flush with minimal shimming. We had a feeling that the one pc. slate liner used will cause severe problems if the table is ever moved again however. Not being solid wood, the screws being drilled back in will destroy the liner making leveling difficult.

Accessories: poor

The accessories shipped with this table were the worst you could possibly receive. All made in China, the sticks, balls, table covers and anything else was terrible. They shipped blue chalk with a table that came with spruce green felt. This observation does little to the overall rating of the table however.

Finalizing the installation Superior

All hardware was good quality and the only problems we had with finishing the installation of this table was that the name plate was not a good fit for where it went on the rail. We had to file the metal name plate to get it into the rail. Ease of installation and finalizing the pool table was a treat!

Overall Rating Above Average

We wanted to give this table a "superior rating" but were forced to give it an "above average" rating for the following three reasons:

Low quality accessory package (Terrible Package)
Price (Could have been better but the pool table had been marked up by at least two companies)
Rail Rubber / Cushions (Rail rubber was of lower quality but was acceptable for standard home use)

For the $3000.00 this table cost the consumer we believe a table of the same qualtiy with a much higher grade accessory package could have been purchased. In the Pacific Northwest a pool table can be purchased with a much better accessory package, a better grade of felt, matching colored cue chalk and expert installation for an average of $2,400.00 making this table about $600.00 more expensive than something that could have been purchased locally. We believe that $600.00 is about what shipping would be from a mass distribution company.

We also learned that the table was passed through at least two different companies before it went to the consumer so the tables price had to have been marked up at least two times before reaching the consumers home. We were told by the shipper that this table was made in the USA. Many shipped tables to consumers are imports of low quality. We could not find any evidence that this table was imported or made in America.
