User: - I have a 15 yr old table. The rails are attatched with wood screws. While trying to move it I pulled off entire rail. I was looking to repair the rail as well as new rubber cushion and felt. I do not know of anyone in this area that repairs pool tables and have no idea what the charge would be. Do you have any leads?
Thanks.
Just one of many to come.
It is extremely important that a person or pool table company with experience moves or repairs your pool table. There are some exceptions to this but the odds are that if you try to move your pool table it should be done by a qualified pool table company. We have run into so many situations where people just did it the wrong way, just for example, we went to move a pool table and the owner stated "these are heavy, it's a 1 piece 1" slate." This was a red flag. We guessed that the person moved the table in without taking it apart years ago and after we took the felt off of the pool table we found our concerns were true. The table was a 3 Piece slate and was 3/4" but one piece was completely broken in half.
This is very common for us to see. Most people who have pool tables don't even know if it's a 1 or 3 pc. slate after the table has been sitting for 10-20 years. If you are thinking about moving a pool table you should consider the risk of losing the table completely.
